About Prescott Sailing Club

Who are we?	We’re a small but dedicated group of sailors who, perhaps like you, might have once thought sailing in the Prescott area was out of the question. Not!
What do we do?	We have a lot of fun together sailing Lynx, Watson, and Willow Lakes, and sometimes have cook-outs at these events. We also occasionally sail Lake Pleasant, and wider-ranging activities will be all the more doable if you’ll ‘sign on’ and ‘cast off’ with us. Please see Events/Meetings page.
Must you own a sailboat to participate?	No. The club owns two boats, a Sunfish and a Laser. These are for use by our members who don’t yet own boats or who do own boats but want more variety in their sailing. Also, there will usually be room for you on someone else's boat, and you'll be welcomed.
What kind of sailboat is appropriate?	Boats owned by our members are of a wide variety, so we are not encumbered by ‘single class’ issues. For sailing in these ‘not so big’ lakes, most of these boats are in the 12’ to 17’ range.
Must you have experience?	No. Our members are anxious to swell the ranks of enthusiasts, and will be more than happy to help you get started.
